This 11" by 14" piece, one of my paintings of birds of America, is an
acrylic painting of a female Lazuli Bunting. Her chest
feathers are a light peach and white, as is
parts of her head. The top of the bird's head and upper back have layers of
small raw sienna colored feathers. Her flight feathers are dark blue and
peach, and the edges of her feathers a light sky blue.
The Lazuli Bunting in this one of my paintings of birds of America
is perched on a cherry tree branch with three
juicy red cherries hanging from it. The leaves are a dark olive green
with yellow ochre and light yellow highlights with a tint of red on
one leaf from the backlighting of a cherry.
The canvas background in this one of my paintings of birds of America is crackled with layers of grey blue and light blue peeking out from behind a blue tinted white foreground color.
The canvas has been sprayed with clear acrylic gloss varnish to keep the colors bright, and has been signed by the artist. This painting ships bubblewrapped flat in a no-bend cardboard box.
