This 18" by 24", one of my acrylic paintings of landscape on
stretched canvas is
based on a composition by Jerry Yarnell. It depicts a ghost town with
five old, decrepit buildings of wood and stucco that are part of a
midwestern landscape with mountains in the background. The time is just
before sunset when the semi-cloudy sky is turning pink at the tips of
the mountains. It is early spring, in this one of my landscape paintings,
with leafless or dead trees, just
after the early blooming flowers and grass have made their debut. Pointing
out the loneliness of the abandoned town is a large dead tree to the left and an
old wagon wheel leaning on unkempt fence posts haphazardly slanting in
This peaceful painting will make a splendid addition to your environment.
The canvas of this one of my landscape paintings has been sprayed with clear acrylic matte varnish to keep the colors bright, and has been signed by the artist. This painting ships bubblewrapped flat in a no-bend cardboard box.
